Bring the document and valid government-issued photo ID. Don't sign in advance — signatures must be witnessed by the notary.

$40 + HST per document — flat, with no minimums. Multiple copies of the same document are $40 each.

Notary public vs. commissioner of oaths — what's the difference?
A commissioner of oaths takes affidavits and statutory declarations for use in Ontario. A notary public can also certify true copies and notarize documents for use outside Ontario or Canada. Ammar Hussain is both.
Can you notarize a consent letter for a child travelling abroad?
Yes — bring the completed letter and photo ID. The parent(s) giving consent must sign in front of the notary.
